Custom Book Cover Design That Sells Your Story

We combine genre research, original design and print know-how to create covers that stop readers mid-scroll.

A Book Cover Built for Your Genre's Bestseller Shel

Readers decide in seconds whether to click on a book, and the cover is all they see. You spent months or years on the words; a weak cover can undo that before anyone reads page one. Our designers start by studying the top sellers in your category, because a thriller, a cozy mystery and a leadership book each need a different look. Then they design a cover that fits the genre, stands out on the page and still reads clearly at thumbnail size.

Our Book Cover Design Process

Six steps, at least two rounds of revisions, and files ready for every format you publish in.

First Contact

Tell us about your book, your readers and covers you love or hate. A short questionnaire gets us everything the designer needs.

Research and Discussion

We pull the top covers in your category and talk through what works there, so the direction is clear before anyone designs.

Draft Approval

Your designer sends original concepts. You choose a favorite, mix elements, or ask for a new direction.

Detailing

We refine type, color, imagery and your author name until the cover reads well at full size and as a small thumbnail.

Final Formatting

We build the full wrap with spine and back cover to your printer’s page count, trim size and bleed.

Final Files and Handover

You get high-resolution files for ebook, paperback, hardcover and audiobook, plus 3D mockups for promotion. You own them all.

What Makes a Book Cover Sell?

Three things, mostly. The genre is obvious at a glance. The title and author name are readable at the size of a postage stamp. And the image hints at what the book promises without giving it away. Our designers get those right before adding the details that make your cover memorable. Then we test it next to its competitors to make sure it holds up.
